Morocco is a national football team has taken part 5 times in the FIFA World Cup, known as the "Lions of the Atlas" and most recently it is organized by the Herve Renard.

In 1976 they were champions of the African Nations Cup; they were the 1st African team to get the victory in the 1986 World Cup, overtaking England, Portugal, and Poland. Also, they were first African team to make it to the 2nd round. They lost in 1986 against the eventual vice-champion West Germany by a score 1- 0. Within 2 minutes of leaving the group stage of the 1998 World Cup, Kjetil Rekdals late champ for Norway against Brazil. In twenty years first time Morocco qualified for the 2018 World Cup.

Morocco will play FIFA World Cup 2018 opening match against Iran on 15 June 2018 and then compete with Portugal and Spain on the following dates 20th and 25th of June.
