2018 World Cup Spain Squad & Lineups

In 2018 FIFA World Cup Spain will be among the favorites under new mentor Julen Lopetegui, who was unexpected in 2016 after Vicente Del Bosque resigned from international coaching role. Spain has done very well under Lopetegui since assuming the position forcing him to switch from this well-known 4-3-3 framework to a 4-5-1 framework, because of the absence of value wingers. Lopetegui has to manage with his lineup determination as the squad is not as capable as before.

In 1904 Spain became a member of FIFA, although in 1909 the Spanish Football Federation was first established. In 1920 Spain's national team was first introduced, since then, the Spanish team has taken part around 14 of 20 FIFA World Cups and 10 of 15 played in UEFA European Championships.
